Ivorey Moffatt, a girls’ volleyball player, is nearing the end of her season. She maintains a 3.9 GPA and plays on the JV team as an outside hitter. Ivorey started playing volleyball in sixth grade. When asked what makes a great athlete, she replied, “A great attitude and always showing up ready to work and help others.”
Ivorey is excelling not only in sports but also academically. She is a three-sport athlete: currently volleyball, soon basketball, and later softball. Ivorey said, “I am so excited to play softball with some of my best friends, and I can’t wait to make so many memories with my seniors.”
Maddy Collins, a friend of Ivorey’s, said, “I really enjoyed playing with Ivorey last year, and I can’t wait to end my senior season on the field with her as my teammate.”
Being a student-athlete can be challenging, balancing sports and academics. When I asked Ivorey about her experience, she explained, “Being busy and having a full schedule is a privilege that I take advantage of. I love that I always have something to do and am able to have a great high school experience through school and sports.”
We are loving what we’ve seen from Ivorey and can’t wait to see more!
