A few months ago in March, students from HHS got the opportunity to choose who they wanted to represent for their Associated Student Body Class. Emilie Peart, a junior at Hughson High School, got voted in as the Junior Class President.
As for what inspired Peart to be a part of Hughson’s student leadership, she commented, “having the school be a better place. My friends and I would hear a bunch of stuff about being in it when I was in middle school which kind of influenced me to be in it.”
As for activities and projects that Peart is currently working on to represent her class, she added, “right now we are working on the haunted house and the red ribbon week.”
As for upcoming events and things that are going to happen this year, Peart stated, “some stuff we are working on for later on in the year is formal, prom, and then our high school graduation.”
Regarding pros and cons about being the Junior Class President, Peart commented, “some pros of being in this class would be the fact that you know what’s happening and like what’s going on and knowing certain activities you planned. Some cons is the fact that you use a lot of your after school hours to plan the stuff and that it can be stressful at times.”
