“It’s Halloween. Everyone’s entitled to one good scare.” — Sheriff Leigh Brackett, “Halloween”
October twenty–third through the twenty–seventh leadership is putting up a good scare! Mrs. Thornhill, teacher in charge of the haunted house, says the theme this year is scary movies. At lunch, ASB, Leadership, and Renaissance are going to run the haunted house in the old gym. For two dollars all students can enter the haunted house for a spooky time.
From an insider’s perspective, student Anelle Sanchez comments that the haunted house is a good fundraiser and although it can get a little hectic, she says it is very fun. From creating and decorating, the students in ASB, leadership, and renaissance were as busy as bees but managed to make it fun. Another student, Jeff Boggs, adds that the haunted house is a good example of how to get together with the students in the class and get involved in the community and school. As the class works on the haunted house, they are creating a spooky event for the school. Aside from the work put into this project, student Hailey Crain explains how some of the biggest highlights were working it and the experience of doing it with friends.
To everyone wondering what exactly will be in the haunted house, the best way to find out is to experience it yourself. Be warned! You will feel a chill as you enter so be prepared to “scream,” and don’t forget to bring your friends!
