Varsity Lady Huskies Volleyball have had a great season this year and battled through many tough games. Last night the Huskies played at Union Mine and got the win but it was a tough one going all the way to 5 sets and fighting out in the end. The Huskies have made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs and are striving to beat Ripon Christian now in the second round.
Madison Jenks, a Senior on the Varsity volleyball team said, “I think that if we all play with determination and with drive then we should have no problem.” This is Madi’s last year playing with the Huskies which is both sad and exciting with the fact that she gets to play in playoffs with her team. “To be able to go to playoffs my first year on varsity is exciting and hopefully we can be successful!”
Paisley Peterson is a Freshman playing on Varsity. This is her first year which she said is both “exciting and scary” Playing on Varsity as a Freshman can have its ups and downs. Peterson said, “It’s crazy and a great experience but it’s also challenging because i’m young and still learning new things playing with all the older girls.”
The lady huskies have worked very hard to make it to second round playoffs and they are prepared to win. With a streak of winning 6 games and losing 5 they will take on Ripon Christian October 26th. It has been a great season for our lady huskies and they have fought hard to make it this far in the 2023 season.
