Congratulations to Lauren Clark for being HHS’s female athlete of the week! She is a senior at HHS, and a player on the varsity volleyball team. Lauren has been an outstanding player during this season, being one of the best performing on the team. She leads in digs with an average of 2.1 digs per set. She is highly looked up to by her fellow teammates, and players on the JV squad. Grace Brazil describes Lauren as, “a player I look up to”. Lauren has been playing volleyball for her whole high school career, and she will continue to carry her team throughout the rest of the season, performing amazing! Congratulations Lauren and keep up the amazing work.

Congratulations to Navi Arretche for being HHS’s male athlete of the week. Navi is a Senior on the HHS Varsity football team. Navi has been recognized for his teamwork, hardworking spirit, and the bright light he brings to his team. Friend and teammate Alexander Villarrel said, “He’s a leader and he’s a role model on and off the field and he works hard everytime we come out of practice.” Friend and teammate Malakai Sumter says, ”He has good blocks, and is very hardworking!” Navi has been showing how he is an amazing athlete not only at Hilmar but against Modesto Christian as well. Navis response is, “Thanks for choosing me!“ Which was said with a huge smile on his face. Congratulations Navi, we cannot wait to see where your senior year takes you.
