This year’s Halloween night was a great way to end the month of October. There were kids, teens, and even adults dressed up in many different creative costumes. As it got darker all the house decorations got scarier and the lights got brighter. All the families and friends walking and talking and just enjoying their time dressed up and getting lots of candy.
One 10 year old boy, Sergio, who was dressed up as Spider-man, stated “I’m having lots of fun! I already have so much candy!” and a 6 year old girl dressed as Elsa stated” I’m so excited to get lots of candy and show people my dress!” She also stated, “it’s my sister’s second Halloween and she can finally walk with me.” Overall, this 2023 year Halloween was very fun and enjoyable for parents and children. A lot of people are already excited for next year’s Halloween.

Nichole Childers is a sophomore at Hughson Highschool. She was originally from Ceres and had gone to Ceres schools up until she transferred to Ross in 8th grade. She has played sports such as basketball, volleyball, and softball. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, writing, drawing, painting, and she loves to sleep. After high school she plans on becoming an elementary school teacher, or even an art teacher. This is also her first year of journalism, and she's really looking forward to it.
