One of the top performers last week was Robert McDaniel. The starting quarterback broke the school record for touchdowns in a game with seven touchdown passes. He also completed 26 of 38 pass attempts for 470 yards and a QB rating of 150.2. The junior said, “I felt great going into the game. I knew I had to step up knowing that our running back was out.”
The Trans-Valley League Offensive Player of the Year said, “ I felt really relaxed and a great groove and connection with the team.”
The new record holder said, “It was surreal especially me throwing it to my brother.”
The all-district quarterback said, “I think the team came out and made a statement after losing to Hilmar and coming out fast.”
Robert also said, “I think we knew that we needed this to get a bye and we had our guys ready to go.”
Another one of the top performers in the last regular season game was Malakai. As he had 64 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.He said “I contributed with Robert to break the record by the day before the game we talked about how we wanted to pass this game a lot and we did.”
He also said he was ready for play offs by also saying “ Yes i’m so ready for play offs I think it’s one of the best parts of the seasons for me. I think we are going to play Colfax first then meet Sutter for the finals. I want to play Sonora for the blue banner then head to NoCal.”
