Wednesday, November 8th, we have the Tri-Rivers FFA sectional community service event. This event will be about collecting canned food to give to people that cannot afford it themselves. All the canned food will be distributed to a local food bank so it can be properly distributed to the people that need it. Mr. Ellington says βI believe that this is a great way to support people that cannot afford to get food on their own.β
The Tri-Rivers FFA sectional community service event includes multiple schools within our county pulling all of the canned foods together they give to our local Food bank. It is a great way to bring communities and different schools together for the same cause of helping people. Miss Larson said βit is a great way to get some community service hours and FFA credit to help you not only in school but to apply for jobs and colleges as you grow up.β
Overall, the Tri-Rivers FFA sectional community service event is a great way to help yourself and meet new people that you wouldn’t normally meet. This is a great way for Hughson High School to help the needy and put themselves out there.
