Thanksgiving is a holiday very well known for the delicious food that comes with it. All the different ethnicities and cultures come together to eat the many diverse meals. On this day, many families gather together around their dinner tables filled with varieties of warm, mouth watering food and celebrate all that they are grateful for.
Senior Abigail Winfrey, says “My favorite Thanksgiving food is my moms Portuguese corn pudding that my mom makes.” Throughout many cultures there are an abundance of different foods, Mexican, Portuguese, and many others. A lot of families have different traditions and foods they eat which could range from just your standard turkey, or instead have crab!
Freshman, Olivia Boggan, says, “My favorite Thanksgiving food is the freaking stuffing with the gravy!” Stuffing is a traditional dish for many families during Thanksgiving. Another freshman Sophia Spears said, “My favorite thanksgiving food is mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie”, which is another very popular meal on the menu for many families.
This is a time when family and friends can come together to celebrate and share a delicious meal. From a juicy turkey to creamy mashed potatoes or a sweet pumpkin pie, there’s something for everyone no matter the ethnicity or culture. It’s a time to appreciate the delicious traditions and flavors that make the holiday so enjoyable!
