Despite the huskies losing their last game to Palms High-school it was still close the whole way through. The defense did their best to attempt to shut them out and their offense led by Robert McDaniel and Alexander Villareal. The Huskies came 1 game short of going to a state game back to back years which has never happened before in Hughson History. Although that did not happen this team still made history as they managed to win back to back sections titles for the first time ever in Hughson and while doing it with the classic comeback. The Huskies were down 31-13 in the 3rd quarter and managed to pull off a victory.

With all the success the Hughson football program has had recently they look forwards to another deep playoff run next year. Hoping to form new bonds and friendships over the summer again. During last summer Hughson Head Coach Shaun King threw his 2022 Section hat in the campfire telling his coaches and team to go win a new one, and the team did exactly that. As the team spoke about wanting to honor to get him a new hat by winning one. The Huskies also had an amazing fan base as away games would feel like home, and even sold out the Husky Stadium during the NorCal Regional Bowl.

With this amazing team there are many seniors that will be appreciated that are leaving with bright futures. Some of the seniors like Navi, David, and Alexander have offers to continue to play college football at the next level. All these athletes have been well in teaching underclassmen during practices or guiding them on how to do the right things. With all these amazing memories and moments happening the 2023 Football comes to an end.
