NFL Weekly Recap – Divisional Round

The San Francisco 49ers hosted the Green Bay Packers this past Saturday for the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs. For the Divisional Round, Brock Purdy had 252 passing yards on 39 passing attempts and 14 rushing yards on 6 carries. While the 49ers also rushed for 111 yards, Christian McCaffery had 98 rushing yards. While some of the receivers stats were: George Kittle 82 receiving yards, Jauan Jennings 61 receiving yards, and Brandon Aiyuk with 32 receiving yards.

The Baltimore Ravens hosted the Houston Texans for the AFC Divisional Round. The Ravens won 34-10 and will now be playing in the AFC Championship game. The Ravens had 123 passing yards and 229 rushing yards. The Ravens dominated the ball time with 38 minutes of possession compared to the Texans’ 23 minutes of possession. The Texans also had 11 penalties against them to the Ravens’ 3 penalties. The game MVP was Lamar Jackson with 252 total yards and 4 touchdowns.

Navi Arretché is 17 years old and a senior at Hughson High School. Navi was born in Portland, Oregon and is now living in Modesto, California. This is his first year of Journalism in high school, he last took journalism in 8th grade. Navi’s hobbies are training, watching movies, and playing games. His favorite sport is Football and he’s been playing for the Huskies since his freshman year. He likes to hang out with his friends frequently. Navi is also on the Track & Field team. Daniel Sotelo is a senior at Hughson HighSchool. This will be Daniel’s second year being a part of Journalism. Daniel really likes to hangout with his friends and family as much as he can. He also enjoys being outdoors everyday doing literally anything. Some of his other hobbies are working out and bbq with his dad almost every weekend. Other times Daniel also likes to play sports video games such as 2k, madden, or UFC as it is something he is very competitive about at the moment.
