On January 23, our very own Hughson Huskies Varsity girls basketball team went up against Ripon Christian coming out on top with the score of 41-35. All girls did a great job in the game and really pulled through in the end.
A few girls from our team had some things they would like to say about how they got themselves this win. Starting off with Jasmine Richardson, she stated “this was actually our 6th league win and we are still in 1st place in the league.” She also stated she was really glad that in the end they won but overall she feels like the game was a little sloppy and that they could definitely improve on some things.
Next up is Savannah Fuller and she stated, “I thought we did pretty good, we did have some errors throughout the game but we all kept calm and played hard, we ended up coming out on top anyways.”
Last but definitely not least, Payton Avila who stated, “both teams definitely got a little rough, there were quite a bit of fouls back and forth. In my opinion I think our defense was doing really well but we do definitely need to work on our offense but I am still super glad we came out on top.”
To conclude, even though it was close and rough, Hughson Huskies made it out on top for the 15th game this season.
