After the fall semester, students were ready for a break from the quickened pace of school, but now we’re back and we have a fresh start for the spring semester. School is an important part of life and gives us structure in our formative years, so we should in turn try to create a schedule for ourselves based on that structure to prevent us from burning ourselves out academically and socially.
A fresh start at the beginning of a semester can be a very positive experience for students, as it allows them to settle into the second semester and create healthier habits moving forward. The new year provides a blank slate for adaptation and growth in every aspect of life. New year’s resolutions may not stick, but hopefully you can set healthy studying habits to make this semester a breeze.
For seniors, spring semester can bring a lot of fear of the unknown. You may not know what you want to do with your life after high school, but don’t let the anxiety surrounding the unknown prevent you from succeeding in the present. The best thing that you can do is to keep moving forward and deal with that hill when you get there. Set a good foundation for the future, even if you’re not sure what it will look like. By focusing on being in the moment during your senior year, you can find more motivation to do the little things you may have not done in the past, like going to prom or really pushing for an academic achievement to finish your mandated education strong.
