It’s a fact known clear as day that people spend a lot of time on their phones. Be it snapping 1000 photos in the span of 1 minute, watching videos or listening to music, everyone uses their phones. Though, there is a lot more to it than you may think. Did you know that on average, people spend 6 hours and 58 minutes on their phones a day? That’s over 29% of the day!
For the younger group, the results were pretty close to one another. Their usage times were anywhere between 3-14 hours a day, with an average of about 8 hours. Most of them weren’t surprised nor bothered about their screen time, being pretty knowledgeable about their time spent on their devices. When one deleted one of their most used apps, Twitter, he actually felt pretty good about it since he thought that Twitter was going downhill.
The adults meanwhile were rather different. For example, Zylstra barely spends about 30 minutes a day on his phone! Bland meanwhile spends somewhere between an hour to three hours when he is having a sick day. Bland deleted one of his apps, being Instagram, he felt a great day of deletion. He did however get it back, since he does quite a lot for the school on it.
