A few months ago in March, students from HHS got the opportunity to choose who they wanted to represent for their Associated Student Body Class. Kaitlyn LaFountain, a sophomore at Hughson High School, got voted in as the ASB Spirit Commissioner.
When discussing what inspired LaFountain to be a part of Hughson’s student leadership, she stated, “I liked being involved on campus and I liked being able to see all the events going on and be part of behind the scenes.”
When regarding pros and cons to being the ASB Spirit Commissioner, LaFountain said, “I really like being involved in all the events because we do focus on a lot of the spirit stuff but it does take a lot of time and it’s a lot of showing up and going out of your way but I don’t mind.”
When talking about activities and projects that LaFountain is currently working on to represent her class, she commented, “Right now it’s hoopscoming week and we are starting to transition towards kindness week and just trying to get fun and life on the campus.”
When discussing things that are going to happen this year, LaFountain stated, “We will have kindness week coming up soon and we are starting to plan more rallies and hopefully get those out to you guys.”
