As we all know, Valentine’s Day is next week and there are certain gifts that are just a given. However, we wanted to check in with our students and see what exactly they expect on this beloved holiday. We interviewed many people and the majority of girls said that a bouquet of flowers is a must. Even a simple small one but it’s the thought that counts. Many others agreed but they also said they would like to get things such as heartfelt gifts, whether it’s something handmade, handwritten or just sentimental. When interviewed, Nayah Jourdan said that one of her all-time favorite gifts was a written letter with pictures printed out all over. She said that it made her feel appreciated because there was time and effort put into the gift. Many guys said the gifts they have bought in the past were things such as flowers, chocolates, stuffed animals and jewelry. But as we can see, as much as girls appreciate things like that, they would prefer something that is more personal.
