This week was packed with NBA games, starting off with the Celtics, barely pulling off a win against the Heat in a four point game with a final score of 110-106. Celtics’ key player, Jason Tatum, put on a show with 26 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists. With help from center Kristaps Porzingis, laying down another 25 points.
The next notable game came the following day with the San Antonio Spur taking a much needed win against the Toronto Raptors 122-99. Spurs’ star player Victor Webanyama was a huge help, dropping 27 points, along with teammate Devin Vassell who helped with 25 of his own.
Zion Williamson led the Pelicans to a win against the Memphis Grizzlies 96-87. With key player Ja Morant not in, the Grizzlies had to fight to stay in the game, with Jaren Jackson Jr. putting up 22 points. Other key players were Luke Kennard and Vince Williams Jr. who both helped with 12 each.
The most memorable game in my opinion this week was by far the Denver Nuggets playing the Milwakee Bucks. Two MVP candidates, Giannis Antetokuempo and Nikola Jokic. Giannis pulled away with 36 points, Jokic was able to put up good competition with 29 points of his own. Another notable player was Damian Lillard who put up 19.
The Memphis Grizzlies had a major upset against the Millwakee Bucks with a final score of 110- 113. The two best players on the team were of extreme help from the Bucks, as Giannias dropped a huge 34 points along with a double double, and Damian Lillard helped with 24. However, the Grizzlies seemed to come prepared to fight, as both GG Jackson and Zaire Williams helped with an astonishing 27 points. Vince Williams Jr. also helped with 18 points, helping Memphis scrape away a three point victory.
