The final year of school is of course the most important. However, it can also be rather expensive. There are a few things that will end up dragging your wallets down, so the biggest question is “What?”
A sign of high school prestige is actually a piece of clothing. A wool coat known as a Letterman’s Jacket is a very common symbol of high school, and for good reason. It’s synonymous with the many patches and pins you win throughout the years, and stands as a wearable trophy board for your achievements. Be it band, sports, grades, or a combo of each, your Letterman will proudly display it. Being a craftsman type jacket, their prices vary from person to person. With cheap ones costing as low as $25 and the higher quality ones anywhere around $150+ not including any costs for sewing your patches, these symbolic jackets are a proud yet costly symbol of high school.
A constant in the years leading up to high school was the sales of Yearbooks. A book to symbolize the year in a fun and memorable way. Filled with fun memories and silly things from the school year, but along with everything that will be on this list, it has a price. In Ross, the price was something around $60 at its max ramp up. A hefty cost for sure but certainly not as big as this year’s Yearbook for HHS, costing somewhere around $75! You could buy some cheap lettermans for that cost! It’s really quite wild to see how much the prices have gone up with time, and I don’t even know if it’s done rising or if there will be an “Ordered Late” tax as well.
Last on my mental docket comes the biggest thing for seniors, the Disney Land Trip. Disneyland has NEVER been defined as cheap, so it’s almost a given that this would probably take major dough to go to. How much? For your three day trip, it will cost you somewhere around a whopping $400+!!!! Albeit it’s manageable to pay $100 a month to fund this trip, but it’s still a massive and expensive endeavor to go on, so be sure you make the most out of your time down there!
