What exactly is senioritis? Senioritis is what most Seniors go through in their last year of high school. Whether they don’t show up to school as much or lose their motivation to continue their school work. In many cases it affects students in waves and in some it lasts all throughout the year. Here at Hughson High we can see that it has affected some of our seniors in minor and major ways. An example of extreme senioritis is in Lily Hixenbaugh. She has so many absences she doesn’t even know how she’s going to be able to graduate. And there’s other cases like Nayah Jourdan who hasn’t really been affected by senioritis but is excited to graduate and experience the real world. In some cases students are just more tired and anxious about graduation. They lose focus of their school work and can get off track but that doesn’t mean that they can’t get back on track and be well prepared for the real world.
