The Dallas Mavericks played the Cleveland Cavaliers this last Tuesday, with an upset score of 119-121, with the Cavs taking a 2 point win. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving dropped a combined 75 points, with Luka having a double-double having 45 points and 14 assists, and Kyrie having 30 points of his own. The next highest scoring player on the team was P.J. Washington with 11 of his own. For the Cavs, Donavan Micheal scored 31 points, being a huge help keeping them in the game long enough for them to come back.
Next up are the Timberwolves and spurs. The San Antonio Spurs played the Minnesota Timberwolves this Tuesday as well, with the Spurs losing 105-114. Victor Webemwama put up a huge performance for the spurs racking in another double-double, having 17 points and 13 rebounds. Devin Vassel led the Spurs in points, with 21 of his own. Keldon Johnson also had a great game with 20 points. For the Timberwolves, star players Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid had great games, with Anthony Edwards having 34 points and Naz Reid being an essential help with 22, both helping lead their team to a win.
The Dallas Mavericks also played the Boston Celtics this Friday, coming short by 28, with a final score of 110-138. While Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving were both essential players to the Mavericks and put up better numbers than most players still, they weren’t able to drop their usual insane points due to the Celtics defense. Luka still had a double double, with 37 points and 12 rebounds, but Kyrie was only able to put up 19 of his own. For the Celtics, three players scored 24 or higher, those being Jason Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristnaps Porzinggus. Tatum put up the highest score with 32 points, followed by Brown with 25, then Porzingis with 24.
Last Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers were barely able to pull out a win against the LA Clippers, ending it with a four point game, the final score being 116-112. Lebron James put on a show with 34 points, with a lot of help from other key player Anthony Davis, who put up a double-double in 20 points and 12 rebounds. Another key player, Rui Hachimura, helped with a huge 17. For the Clippers, Khawi Leonard put up a huge fight of 26 points, and James Harden fought alongside him with 23 points as well. The game went back and forth, ending with the Clippers just not able to take the lead in the end.
