Congratulations to Summer Leshko for being HHS’s athlete of the week! Summer is a Junior on the girls varsity softball team. Summer is involved in cheer, and softball. Summer has been an outstanding player during this season, being one of the best performing on the team so far. Summer is a third baseman and she is quite the player her teammates look towards. Summer always tries her hardest and never lets her team down, especially with how much joy she brings to the team.

Summer is ranked in the top 56 in Sac-Joaquin Section for 1 stat, top 53 in Division I – VII for 1 stat, and top 2 in Trans Valley League for 2 stats. Summer also just got player of the game at this week’s Ceres tournament.

Summer is an amazing student athlete by maintaining above a 3.5 GPA, participating in 2 sports, and being involved in clubs. Sophomore teammate Presley Wells says, “Summer is always trying to stay positive and she will always hype you up. She is funny and always tries her hardest.”

We’ve loved seeing the progress of Summers’ growth at Hughson High and we can’t wait to see how she dominated these next couple of years. Congratulations Summer, keep up the amazing work.
