The Raptors played the Trail Blazers this last Saturday, with an upset of 118-128, with the Trail Blazers taking a 10 point win. Immanuel Quickley and Gary Trent Jr. dropped a combined 52 points, with Quickley having 29 points and 7 assists for himself, and Kyrie having 23 points and 3 assists of his own. For the Trail Blazers, Deandre Ayton and Dalano Banton with their points being 55 together, with Ayton having 30 points and 1 assists, and Kyrie having 25 points and 4 assists. The next highest scoring player on the Trail Blazers team was Anfernee Simons with 23 points and 7 assists helping his team out.
Next up are the Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns. The Phoenix Suns played last Saturday as well, with the Suns losing 117-114. Jayson Tatum put up a huge performance for the Celtics racking in another double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Devin Vassel led the Celtics in rebounds, with 12 of his own. Jaylen Brown also had a great game with 27 points. For the Suns, star players Kevin Durant had a great game with 45 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, with Bradley Beal having 25 points and 4 assists.
The Brooklyn Nets also played the Charlotte Hornets last Saturday, coming short by 11, with a final score of 99-110. While Cam Thomas and Mikal Bridges were both essential players to the Nets and put up better numbers than most players still, they weren’t able to put up enough points for a win against the Hornets. Thomas had 31 points and 2 assists, and Bridges was able to put up 19 of his own. For the Hornets, two players scored above 20, those being Miles Bridges, and Brandon Miller. Bridges put up the highest score with 24 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Miller with 23 and 7 rebounds.
Last Saturday, the San Antonio Spurs were able to pull out a win against the Golden State Warriors, ending it with a 13 point game, the final score being 126-113. Keldon Johnson led his team with a double-double 22 points and 11 rebounds, Malaki Branham and Jermery Sochan both had 20 points and a total of 8 rebounds together. Klay Thompson put on a show with 27 points and 2 rebounds, with a lot of help from other key player Jonathan Kuminga, who put up 26 points and 3 rebounds. The game came with a clear winner by the end with the Spurs taking the lead from the beginning to end, leaving the warriors not being able to catch up resulting in the Spurs winning.
