Having extracurricular activities in school is very important because they help students grow new skills and provide many opportunities and benefits to students. They help students evolve so many new skills and talents like playing a musical instrument, playing sports, drama, and joining clubs. These activities allow them to discover their passion and increase participants self-confidence, self-esteem, and positive behaviors. Extracurricular activities encourage teamwork, by working together with others against a common goal, they learn many things like communicating, supporting and understanding each other. These skills are important not only in schools, but also in a future career or when you have job interviews. Also participating in extracurricular activities can increase your confidence because it can help you find what you are interested in. Lastly, having extracurricular activities in school makes it more entertaining and they let allow social interaction with people who have similar interests or opinions on a specific subject.
