Throughout high school there are many rules and things that keep students restricted. A lot of people probably want a lot of things to change on our campus. Many people dislike some rules, or even things that they can’t do until a certain grade level. If students could have the freedom to change anything here on campus, what would they change?

Addy Poulson who is a sophomore said, “Not having to be separated at lunch for sure. I wish everybody could just hang in the quad.”

This is definitely a huge topic at our campus. Of course the seniors like it because they have a space for themselves but all the lower classmen wish they could share the space. Overall the quad just seems like a great space to hang out. There’s trees for shade and blocks that are nice to sit on. I think many lower classmen can agree with what Addy would change.

Natalie Wohler, a senior here at Hughson High said she would change, “The gate! I really wish we were allowed open campus, especially because so many other schools are starting to allow it.”

This is something a lot of people here at our campus would love to change. Especially because not far off campus there are popular restaurants such as Hamilton’s, CoCos, and Pizza Factory. If we can’t go off campus, another big change would be the provided school lunches. Wohler also said, “I would also change the lunch options, we need better lunch for sure and more options.”
