Navi’s PR for shot put is 42.7 and his PR for discus is 103.8 feet. Navi made it very apparent that he believes most kids should be on track. “I think kids that do any sport should do track, track helps with explosiveness, speed, stamina, and overall health.” He also talked very highly about the coaching staff. “I think that we have a lot of good track coaches at Hughson, most notably coach Wolfely. He is a great football and track coach, he does a wonderful job breaking things down for us and pushing us to our limits.” He also spoke very highly of his friends in track. “I enjoy track a lot because of the friends I have and have made. I get to see a lot of my friends from school and football, and we get to meet athletes from multiple different schools. I enjoy being able to be competitive and being able to have fun at the same time. It’s a lot different than football where I don’t have to be aggressive all the time and I can enjoy the people and my time a little more.” Navi believes if you’re a student wanting to get into a sport, that track is the right way to go. “ I believe track is a good starting sport because it can translate to a lot of different sports. It allows you to participate in things that you’re good at and want to get better at.” Overall, Navi Arretche is an amazing dual athlete at Hughson High School.
