As we know, college is quickly approaching as seniors at Hughson High are graduating soon. College can be a scary thing to think about so what exactly are our students worried about? Our students that will be attending college have anxiety about the possible big campuses that they’ll be transferring to. Many of the students have also been attending Hughson schools for practically their entire life and transferring to a college will be a bit of a culture shock. It’s a bigger campus with a lot more people and obviously the classes are going to be college level so they will be that much more difficult.
Nayah Jourdan said that one of the biggest differences will be the size of the campus. In effect it will be difficult to remember where all your classes are in the beginning. But she is confident that she will get the hang of it eventually.
Another aspect of going to call into the people and nervous about is moving far away. Many students want to travel and go to college in different states and maybe even study abroad and that will be a huge difference for them. Our young adults will be farther away from their families and by themselves trying to figure out college life. Good luck seniors.
