With Uconn taking the win over Purdue to win the 2024 March Madness tournament both teams played pretty well. Along with Uconn having a better record they were the favorites to win and they did. Offensively, Uconn went 30/62 or 48.4 percent for field goals, 6/22 for 3 pointers or 27.3 and went 9/11 or 81.8 percent for free throws with 15 offensive rebounds. Offensively, Uconn did better in every stat line besides the steals which was tied 3 each. Defensively they had 22 rebounds, 18 assists, 4 blocks, 3 steals, 6 turnovers, 18 personal fouls. The game ended with a score of 60-75
Purdue was carried by Zach Edey in this game. Edey had 37 points and 12 rebounds. Purdue had 9 turnovers and 31 total rebounds. They also had 3 steals and 3 blocks.

Daniel Sotelo is a senior at Hughson HighSchool. This will be Daniel’s second year being a part of Journalism. Daniel really likes to hangout with his friends and family as much as he can. He also enjoys being outdoors everyday doing literally anything. Some of his other hobbies are working out and bbq with his dad almost every weekend. Other times Daniel also likes to play sports video games such as 2k, madden, or UFC as it is something he is very competitive about at the moment.
