The Denver Nuggets played two games against the Los Angeles Lakers this week. The first game ended with the final score being 103-114, with the Nuggets taking the win. Anthony Davis put up a huge performance with 32 points and 14 rebounds, which the Lakers desperately needed. Following him was LeBron James with 27 points. Unfortunately, Austin Reeves and DeAngelo Russel were only able to put up 14 each. For the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic led the team with a huge double-double, having 32 points and 12 rebounds. The Nuggets had two other players with double-doubles, putting on a crazy performance against the Lakers. Those being Aaron Gordan with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Jamal Murray with 22 points and 10 assists. The second game went about the same way, 112-105, with almost 4 double-doubles from the Nuggets. The Nuggets currently lead the series 2-0
The New Orleans Pelicans played the Oklahoma City Thunder, and they hold a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven. They earned a 124-92 home win against the New Orleans Pelicans in Game 2 on Wednesday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 28 points, leading his team for a huge win over the Pelicans. The second game was much closer, being 92-94. Game 3 was another win for Oklahoma City Thunder with a score of 106-85 allowing them to lead 3-0 now.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are in a series playing against the Phoenix Suns. Grayson Allen led his team with 23 points, followed by Kevin Durant with 22. The Phoenix Sun led a 97-87 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night. Bradley Beal had 14 points for the Suns who had won four games in a row. Devin Booker’s 3-pointers of the night gave the Suns the win. The Suns led 32-20 after the first quarter, and 57-41 at halftime. Minnesota eating 13 points and making the score closer at the end of the game. Anthony Edwards struggled on the court by maintaining 17 points throughout the game and Nickell Alexander-Walker was the only other player with 13 points. Naiz Reid had 11 rebounds.
