Congratulations to Kylie Tangey for being HHS’s athlete of the week. Kylie is a freshman on the Varsity Softball team. Kylie is an incredible student athlete; she is involved in many things at hughson high including choir, sound investment, and while doing this she maintains a great GPA. Kylie is a great example of what a Hughson High student athlete should look like.
Kylie is ranked in the top 46 in Sac-Joaquin Section for 1 stat, top 46 in Division I – VII for 1 stat, and top 2 in Trans Valley League for 1 stat. Coach Chase Moorhead says, “Kylie Tangey has been a huge add to our varsity roster this year. She has great command in the circle and a great mind set in the box. She’s always smiling and enjoying every minute of this game and I’m excited for her future here at Hughson High School.” At this week’s game against Escalon Kylie had 8 strikeouts.
We also have Summer Leshko who is a teammate and friend of Kylie’s and she said, “Kylie Tangey is a freshman on Varsity. She has been an outstanding player this year and has benefited the team in many ways including a hot bat. The freshman pitches, also being a baller in left field, with the most positive attitude and always picking up her teammates in the dugout.”
Congratulations Kylie, we have loved seeing your hard work and effort this year. Thank you for all you’ve done for Hughson High’s Varsity Softball team and keep up the great work for these next 3 years.
