You can never expect what your city is going to do in order to make lives better or to make things better for their citizens. Unfortunately, not everything is destined to go well, and that’s what happened last Friday for our town of Hughson. A maintenance checkup ended up causing what is now an ongoing issue that makes past problems much worse.
Last Friday, an issue occurred in the wells of Hughson. Now this water already is VERY poor quality in its own right, with more than 1000 x the standard amount of Arsenic. The issue, however, was water-pressurization in the well. This caused the town to turn the water off for a while to ensure the pipes were fixed. Just because it was fixed doesn’t mean it became safe, however.
They issued a warning on water to boil it or to only have water from bottles. Though, I don’t know if the warning has been lifted or the water is safer; bear in mind Hughson water isn’t exactly the cleanest. If you are SUPER concerned about the water quality, invest in gallons of water from places like Dollar Tree.
Hughson water is always a debate if it’s safe to drink. But it’s all up to you if you want to worry that hard.
