Another member of Hughson High’s track and field team is Noeli Gomez-Orozco. The events Noeli participates in are 800 meters, 1600 meters (the mile), 4×400 relay, and 4×800 relay. Noeli started off her freshman year participating in cross country and was so interested in it that she started participating in track and field as well. Noeli stated that, “I really just enjoy running honestly but what makes it even better and more enjoyable is the people on the team and everyone’s energy being so active and energetic.” 

She also stated that whenever she decided she wanted to get involved in cross country her freshman year so many people told her that it would be boring and exhausting but despite what everyone was putting in her head she joined anyways and ended up loving it and the people participating with her. She also said that, “The same thing happened when I wanted to join track after cross country too, people tried getting in my head. Of course it didn’t work because I just love running too much but I really thought about it and I’m glad I joined because if I didnt I would have definitely regretted it a lot but i absolutely can’t wait for cross country and track next year!”

Overall Noeli Gomez-Orozco has been excelling in track and field and we are all very excited to see how she can develop throughout the rest of this and the next year.
