With the end of the school year nearing quickly, there’s so much to look back on as a freshman. It’s the beginning of high school and the start of a whole new journey as teenagers and young adults. Freshman year was a year full of first experiences and many new and fun memories. Everything experienced this school year is just the start of our whole career in high school.
Sophia Brazil, a freshman said, “It’s kinda sad that it’s gone by so fast but I feel like we’ve made a lot of fun memories and tried many new things so I’m excited to move onto sophomore year.”
Freshman year is such a memorable year for so many. All the new experiences and many first experiences make it a year to remember. Although it is a little sad that it’s ending it’s even more exciting knowing that we get to be sophomores.
Priyana Prasad, also a freshman, stated, “I feel very relieved knowing that there’s only a couple weeks left of our freshman year. The end of the school year means summer is around the corner which is such a huge relief because that means no more stress, homework, or waking up early.”
Although our first year as freshmen was fun, it’s also such a relief knowing that summer is coming up and we get some time to relax before going back to school as sophomores.
Noah Ocegueda, a freshman said, “I’m really glad, my freshman year has been really fun but I just want it to be summer already. I’m also ready to be a sophomore and have more opportunities.”
After you go through your freshman year, many more opportunities come up. You’re a year older and you gain more freedoms and finally aren’t at the bottom anymore which is definitely something to look forward to.
As a freshman, the end of the school year can bring mixed feelings. On one hand, it’s exciting to have a break from classes and homework. It’s a chance to relax, recharge and enjoy some free time without the stress of school. Ending the freshman year also might be a little challenging with finals coming up, but it’s definitely worth it in the end, to succeed and continue high school after summer as a sophomore. Plus, summers bring so much more new opportunities for new adventures and experiences. Without having to worry about what homework you have after having a fun weekend.
