Nothing kills more job interviews than anxiety so, the interview is perfect for seeing how you deal with pressure. As well as the interview, finding the job is its own problem too! 

Finding a job, especially since summer is starting, is a very good idea, but many people are gonna have the same idea. Hughson especially is a difficult place to find a job, as there are little to no jobs available for the average high schooler. What you’ll need to be to get hired is the best option for the job, especially in terms of locations. You need to prove to the employer that you are very capable of completing the job you’re applying for.

First key to success is looking well groomed and clean. Proper clothing, good hair, and excellence in manners. Don’t act like it’s YOUR job, since it isn’t. Instead, being respectable and calm will help secure the job.

The second key is being punctual. Nobody likes a late runner, and being on time shows how dedicated you are to your job, being capable and fully willing to attend on time. Nothing hurts to be early!

Last but not least, diligence in your work and honesty about what you can do makes you more trustworthy. An employer is like a parent, as they HATE liars. It is wise to not make yourself seem better than you appear.

Try to start simple, like fast food or store work. The jobs you can do reasonably are the best jobs. Don’t try to overshoot what you can do, and be sure you can upkeep what is asked of you, if you are hired.
