This week the Hughson Huskies took on the Ceres Bulldogs Friday.
Offenses on both sides had a rough start but the Huskies were able to pick it up. On the ground junior running back Eli Wilbanks seemed to be unstoppable as he rushed for 93 yards with 12 carries averaging 7.8 yards per run. With the help of his teammates Cesar Ramos, Isaac Romero and even quarterback Robert McDaniel, the team was able to get a total of 185 rushing yards.
Meanwhile in the air McDaniel was able to reach 228 passing yards. Throwing to his star receivers Bryce McDaniel (86 yards), Malakai Sumter (26 yards), Max Mankins (28 yards ) and new transfer receiver Lawson Aviles (54 yards). Along with the help of his teammates Lincoln Sousa (11 yards), and Jamesson Davis (23 yads). With that being said, the Huskies were able to get 413 total yards on offense for the night.
The defense started off fired up with the first play being a sack from Sebastian Ocegueda and Max Mankins which led to an amazing start. With Caesar Ramos having a total of 7 tackles and Sebastian Ocegueda with a total of 6 total tackles and Max Mankins with a total of 6 tackles as well.
There were no touchdowns until the third quarter, Ceres got a touchdown with number 1 Reis Smith catching a ball for a 10 yard touchdown. And a field goal for a one point conversion which led the game to end with the score of Hughson 35 points and Ceres with 7 points.
