This week the Hughson Huskies played Pitman during their Homecoming. The Huskies were once again off to a quick start and put the game away quickly. The huskies, this game, went primarily through the air but still both the ground and air game was unstoppable.
Quarterback Robert McDaniel went 12/20 and had 292 yards and five touchdowns. Wide Receiver and brother Bryce McDaniel also had a day as he had three of those touchdowns for ninety-two yards. Meanwhile, Pitman simply had no answer to stop Malakai Sumter with only four receptions he had 144 yards with two touchdowns. Other important parts of the Huskies receiving core helped Max Mankins (48 yards), Lincoln Sousa (4 yards), Eli Wilbanks (4 yards).
While rushing on the ground, the team had 143 yards. Eli Wilbanks was a beast on the field as it seemed he could not go down at the first point of contact. Eli Wilbanks also rushed for 100 yards for his first time being with the varsity team, as he rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown. Other running backs that helped the team were Isaac Romero (3 yards), Marshall Dayton (1 yard).
This week the Hughson Huskies defense came out fired up ready to play some football with only one touchdown being let up in the fourth quarter. There were a total of seventy-six tackles and fourty-three solo tackles. With Colt Foss having seven total tackles and Max Clawson with a total of five total tackles and Brady Calwell with five total tackles with all that being said there were two caused fumbles through out all four quarters of the game one by Lawson Aviles and Sebastian Ocegueda and still the Hughson Huskies remain undefeated.
