Do you know what it’s like to live in a floating city in the middle of the clouds, well I do. It is the year 2112. My name is Adonis Reece and I’m just a normal teenager in a floating city called Andromeda. In the year 2070, someone developed a bioweapon because at that time, the planet was plunged into war after the entirety of a nation was wiped out by a nuclear bomb. Millions of people died. I forget what the nation is called, I think it’s called the United States or something. The collaborations of other nations helped find the group responsible for this attack and in the group’s last desperate act, they detonated their biggest weapon yet, a bioweapon which was combined with nuclear energy. 

 It killed billions of people on Earth and before all that floating cities were only used as attractions like the cruises or whatever they were called. People paid with money and they would get a trip through the clouds for a few days. But in the threat of a bioweapon, people realize that the bio weapon would only affect the surface. So people packed their supplies and piled on the floating city and flew away. My father and my mother were there that day when it all happened. They were only 10 years old. So by that time I was born, I never experienced what it was like to be on the surface and My father told me stories that the surface was beautiful before what happened. There were mountains, trees, grass, the ocean, and were just as beautiful as flying through the sky. It was always my dream to touch the surface but these terrible events made that impossible.

The cities can float thanks to an anti-gravity machine which was designed by groups of scientists in the year 2060. People can’t exactly fly back down to the surface because they are worried the radiation will kill them or the mutated creatures. My father is Drake Reece and he is a genius inventor for a company called Bionix. Bionix is an android making company and was put into effect after the bioweapon incident. So, Bionix developed androids to help with lots of things and that way they are not affected by the radiation and are suited with combat or killing techniques just in case they encounter anything down there. Androids are in charge of searching for supplies on the surface because we can only live on this floating rock for so long. My mother also used to work with my father at Bionix as an assistant. It’s also been 13 years since my mother died of a mysterious illness. I was 4 years old when she died. Life tends to get weird for me as we move on from here.
