Great week to be a husky! Not the most entertaining week but lots of little things for us to get better at through the bye week especially with league coming. The TVL has evolved a lot with the new editions of Ripon Christian, Orestimba, and Sonora, who have all been deep in the playoffs in the past years. We know that we need to take each game one at a time and not overlook anyone. Here’s what Carlos Guizar had to say about the new league: “I’m very confident and feel we have a good team to win it.” Another thing he added was, “We have a very strong offense and defense that can compete with anyone.” Overall, my take on the new alignment is pretty similar and that we need to control our destiny and play our brand of football. 

Ripon is our first game and they are always a great game with them being in the playoffs almost every year for a while now. Something Malakai had to say was, “I feel I had a good game last year against this team so I’m ready to get back out there especially since i’ve gotten better.” Personally I feel great going into the game and league play with us returning some experience and the know how to win mindset. Can’t wait to get out there to play Ripon!
