Senior Spotlight is a series where three seniors will be interviewed every week and talk about themselves and their years at Hughson High School. This week we have Dominic Aguiar, Colt Foss, and Malaki Sumter.
Dominic Aguiar is a 17 year old senior at Hughson High school. His favorite song is Frog Man By Whiskey Myers. His favorite movie is Midway, and his favorite food is steak. Dominic moved to Hughson Schools in kindergarten. He plays football and baseball. He’s in three clubs this year which are FFA, FCA and LOH. He plans to attend MJC and then go into California Highway Patrol after high school. Dominic hopes to see himself pursuing his career and having a family in ten years. For incoming students his advice is to make the most of the four years you have. It goes by a lot quicker than you think it is and try to have fun in those four years. His favorite class was junior year with Cameron Kroll because he kept the class fun and it was easy to learn in his class. The teacher that supported Dominic the most was Kaci Brazil. She helped him with resumes, job shadows, and life skills. Dominic states his favorite memory of High School would be his sophomore year when winning the state championship for football. Dominic says he would miss the friendships that he built throughout high school and the opportunities the most when he graduates.
Colt foss is a 17 year old Senior at Hughson High School. His favorite song is Purgatory by Tyler Childers, his favorite movie is Talladega Nights, and his favorite food is ice cream. Colt moved to Hughson Schools after his third grade year. He plays Football and he’s in CSF. He wants to go to a prestigious college, preferably a UC, and pursue his education after high school. Colt sees himself with a higher ranking job in the computer spectrum and living a successful life in ten years. For incoming students his advice is to work hard and have fun. His favorite class was math because he feels that he’s pretty good at the subject. The teacher that supported Colt the most was Kroll. Colt states his favorite memory of High school would be when they won the section in 2023 for football. Colt says he would miss the friends he made on the football team and the coaches the most when he graduates.
Malaki Sumter is a 17 year old Senior at Hughson High School. His favorite song is Offsprung by T-pain and his favorite movie is Spiderman. To Malakai the question of what is your favorite food is very hard to answer because he likes a lot of dishes. He plays football, basketball, and is in track. He plans to go into a four year college after high school. Malaki sees himself in the NFL in ten years. For incoming students his advice is that the school is good and there’s a lot of friends you make at Hughson, and always pursue your dreams. His favorite class was math class with Jamie Compton. The teacher that supported Malaki the most was Kroll. Malaki states his favorite memory of High school would be Homecoming week because it’s always fun. Maliki says he would miss the football team and the coaches the most when he graduates.
