This week the Hughson Huskies played the Ripon Indians for the first league game of the season. Hughson’s offense did well as they put up 28 points for the night.
QB Robert McDaniel threw for 232 yards while going for 16/22 pass completions. And 2 touchdowns. Receivers that Robert threw to were Malakai Sumter (70 yards/1 touchdown), Lincoln Sousa (30 yards), Max Mankins(49 yards/1 touchdown), Bryce McDaniel(46 yards), Jamesson Davis(22 yards) and Eli Wilbanks(14 yards).
Meanwhile on the ground Eli Wilbanks had another 100+ yard night against Ripon and they had no way to stop him. Eli Wilbanks had 19 carries for 119 yards and a touchdown. Fullback, Colt Foss, also helped the team rush, having 3 carries for 16 yards and a touchdown and Robert McDaniel with 8 yards putting the team to a total of 143 total rushing yards. On offense the Huskies put up a total of 375 offensive yards.
This week the Hughson Huskies faced Ripon. With their defense only letting up one touchdown. Eli Wilbanks had a total of six tackles and Daniel Sotelo with six total tackles and Carlos Guizar with a total of five tackles. Many flags were called against the Hughson Huskies defense that they will soon fix. The Hughson huskies where faced with something that they haven’t seen at all. But they soon fixed it right after some guidance from the coaches. The Hughson huskies had prepared a lot for Ripon with film and practice. With all that being said the Hughson Huskies left with yet another win in their season.
