This book is a thriller/horror about this mother named Brooke and her son Josh. Brooke moved into a different town once a traumatic event happened at her boyfriend’s house when she was younger and two of her friends were murdered. When her boyfriend got blamed for the deaths. But later she moves back after her parents pass away and she moves into their house with her son. She then gets a job at a high security prison that her ex boyfriend is locked up at. As she’s trying to rebuild her life with her son she runs into people from her past that she’s been told to stay away from… but is she going to listen? Are they really that bad? Or were they the ones who really tried to kill her and her friends?

I could not put this down, I was so into the plot line and I wanted more and more. And I’m just gonna say I’ve never liked Tim… no real reason I just didn’t. I YELLED at the chapters towards the end because of how stupid Brooke was! She did not make good choices!! Buttt even with the main character making very dumb choices I really loved the book and I’m planning to read more by her soon! I’d rate it a 3.5/5 stars.
