This week we will interview four seniors for our Senior Spotlight. The seniors for this week are Jc Lupercio, Brenda Robles, Scarlett Villareal, And Finley Wells.
JC Lupercio is a 17 year old senior at Hughson High school. His favorite song is Dancer Home by Cody Johnson. He’s indecisive about favorite movie and food. Jc moved to Hughson Schools in fourth grade. He plays baseball, and this year the club he’s in is FCA. After high school Jc plans to play college baseball, and get his Real Estate license and go from there. Jc hopes to see himself successful and with a family in ten years. His favorite class is digital photo and his study hall period. The teacher that supported Jc the most is Cameron Kroll because he struggled in APUSH and Kroll really helped him get through it. Jc states his favorite memory of high school would be being with his friends and going to the football games and playing on the same team with some of the guys he grew up with.
Brenda, also known as, Julie Robles is a 18 year old senior at Hughson High school, She doesn’t have a favorite song she listens to a little bit of everything. Her favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast, and her favorite food is quesabirrias. Brenda moved to Hughson schools in sixth grade, she’s done cross country, basketball and she’s been doing tennis. She’s been in HYLC all four years and she’s in CSF and NAMI. After High school she hopes to go to a school in Los Angeles and hopefully major in fashion. In ten years Brenda sees herself having a good position in the fashion industry. The advice Brenda would want to give to incoming students is to really try to get involved within your school, try everything you want no matter what anyone says you only have 4 years. Her favorite memory from high school would be playing Dorthy in The Wizard of OZ play, and the dances and hanging out with her friends. Brenda says she would miss her friends. The teacher she feels has helped her the most is Cindy Newsome and Karlee Ruelas because they are always encouraging you to do your best, And they represent what it really means to work hard.
Scarlett Vilarreal is 17 years old and a senior at Hughson High School. She doesn’t have a favorite song. Her favorite movie is Coraline and her favorite food is pasta. Shes been going to Hughson schools since kindergarten. She does cheer, soccer, basketball, dance and track. She plans on being a surgeon for her career. She sees herself living in Alaska being a surgeon. Her advice for incoming students is to do your work and not to slack off. Her favorite class is AP Art History. Govett and Bland are the teachers that she feels helped her out the most during her time here at Hughson High. Her favorite memory from high school is definitely the football games. The one thing she’ll miss the most is knowing where her classes are.
Finley Wells is a 17 year old senior at Hughson High School. Her favorite song is I’m not in love by 10cc. Her favorite movie is Twilight and her favorite food is In n Out. She plays Flag Football. She’s also in FCA, FFA and LOH. After high school she sees herself being a child psychologist or a grief counselor. In 10 years she sees herself working as a counselor or just working somewhere in that general area. The advice she has for incoming students is to be more involved in school activities, clubs and sports because the experience is better with all of that. Her favorite class is LOH. The counselor who helped her out the most would be Mrs. Cordano because she helped a lot with growing in High school. Her favorite memory is winter formal last year with her friends. The thing she’ll miss the most is seeing and hanging out with friends everyday and not having to work and being herself somewhere.
