Big time week! After last week we pretty much control our destiny and how our season runs through us. If we win this week we get a part of the TVL winner but that’s not our goal. Our goal is to be loan champs of the league. This is a big week because this is the next team that stands in our way for our goal.

Orestimba has a good record going into the game being 5-2. Their two losses came in the league in hard fought games against Hilmar and Sonora. We knew that we had to have a good mindset. Especially coming off our big win last week we don’t want to come out flat and get behind. When we got done with school I went and got some recovery work and went home to get all my stuff ready because it was an away game. I was able to get there pretty early and get some work in with my receivers during the JV halftime. After that we went into the locker room and got situated and ready to get a full team warm up. After the team warm up went great we headed out to the field and got ready with some more throws. The game environment was a little different this week with it being away and a little colder. 

Here we go! Gotta come out Strong! We win the toss and defer to the second half. Our defense started out great with a stop giving us the ball and we scored in 5 plays. We knew that we needed to keep the throttle on. So we scored 21 more before the half and then a last minute score for them making it 27-6. We went into half with a great mindset and knowing that we need to go down the field and score when we get the ball.

After halftime was over we got back out there and did just that putting us up 34-6 and after that I came out giving the ball to Orestimba and they scored in the fourth quarter. We later had two great plays on defense for pick 6’s giving us a 48-12 lead. After that we were fortunate to receive some news that Sonora lost, giving us the TVL title outright. We know that this is a great accomplishment but there’s one more team that we haven’t beaten in years and we are ready to take them on this week.
