The California Scholarship Federation is a club that recognizes citizenship, academic achievement, and service for high school students. This club also has a lot of benefits for the students that are involved. Gabrielle Daysog, an english teacher at Hughson High, is CSF’s club advisor. Daysog said, “It’s a great way to earn opportunities for community service, and to learn about scholarships that can help students pay for college.” She looks forward to helping students learn about and visit colleges. Daysog said, “I took over the club this year from Mrs. Geisbreicht, who has been a big help in allowing me to get the club set up and encourage student involvement.” The way that people can be involved with this club is by submitting applications based on their semester grades. Students have to reapply each semester because of this application process. Certain grades gives students a certain amount of points. Daysog said, “CSF is a great way for students to earn and learn about scholarships for college!”
