Kaci Brazil, also known as Mrs. Brazil has been teaching for 26 years. Brazil’s parents inspired her to become a teacher by telling her how important it is to have an educational job. Her favorite part about teaching is her students. Brazil’s favorite lessons to teach are any U.S. History lessons from the 20th century. She enjoys being a Social Science teacher, LOH adviser, and a volleyball coach. She also enjoys her bonds with her students in each class/sport.
If Brazil wasn’t a teache, she would most likely work in a field with children. Brazil’s goals for her students by the end of the year are for them to think for themselves. How she adapts with kids who have special needs is to build a relationship with them. She also handles classroom/student discipline by getting to know them and the situation that is going on.
Brazil’s way to engage students who are struggling is to build a bond with them. She handles stress by having good hobbies in her free time and spending time with her family. Her advice for someone who wants to become a teacher is to see if you like working with students. You should TA classrooms to see if being a teacher of some sort is a good fit for you. Brazil does not have a favorite memory at this school, as she has had too many great memories at this school just to choose one.
