School spirit isn’t just about cheering at games, or wearing colors, it’s a feeling that brings students all together. To capture that feeling, Husky students and staff were asked one simple question: “What Song Best Represents Hughson School Spirit?” Join us as we explore the tunes that make us proud to be part of Hughson High School.
First we spoke with Cooper Overholtzer, a sophomore who confidently says, “Fein by Travis Scott” is a good hype and spirit song that represents our school. On the other hand, Adi Thomson, a freshman and a member of the JV volleyball team had a different take and said that, “Firework” by Katy Perry because of the “good vibes the song gives”.
Julia Daniels, a junior, says the song, “Black and Yellow” represents our school spirit best because “the song names are the colors of our school and it meshes well.” While Max Mankins, a senior, a part of the Varsity Football team said, “any Travis Scott song” and goes on to explain that all of his songs are hype!
The songs that best represent Hughson spirit are as diverse as our student body. These anthems capture the spirit of what it means to be a part of Hughson High. It reminds us that no matter our differences, we are united by shared pride and collective spirit that makes Hughson High School truly special.
