This week on Sports Insider, we are looking into the mindset of the Hughson Huskie’s coaches and football players. The Hughson game will be held at the home stadium; the Huskies are coming off of a 21 day break from their last game against Hilmar. The Huskies will be facing the El Dorado Cougars. This is the first playoff for the Huskies. Hughson is 10-0 while El Dorado is 6-5.
Number 8, quarterback, Robert McDaniel said, “Confident with are a couple bye weeks. Confident everyone is going to be healthy and firing on all cylinders. I don’t think there are a lot of weaknesses with teams especially if they are in the playoffs. We had two bye weeks so I just need to get in game shape for this game.”
Number 51, offensive lineman and defensive end, Carlos Guizar said, “Very confident and very excited to be in the playoffs. It’s hard to tell when they’re in the playoffs but I don’t know their weaknesses. I’m preparing myself for the game by working on my technique and making sure i’m ready.”
Number 13, wide receiver, Bryce McDaniel said, “I’m just ready for a game because have had 21 days off and it has been boring so i’m ready to just play. I feel like their weakness is they’re not going to be rested for the game. I’m making sure I get there plays down.”
