As this school year continues it has reached the halfway point. Grades would soon start being put in and grades have been going up and down for everyone. Missing assignments have been marked, and graded work has been submitted, but there’s still lots of things from other students to do. Stress has been rising in everyone as finals approach and more work appears for them to do. This school year is passing by fast and the end of the grading period is coming up so make sure to turn in those assignments so you can be caught up.
As the grading period reaches the end of the halfway point teachers are putting and catching up on grading papers. It may look as if there’s still a bunch of days left, but it will come quicker when you don’t expect it and soon it’ll be the last day till break. So get your work done and turned in to get your grades up. As Stacy Ramos says, “When it’s close to the end of the grading period I feel like there’s more pressure since grades are closing and they’re missing assignments that have to be done.” To go into more detail into that grades are due and all the missing assignments that you have teachers will put a zero on them which could deeply affect your grades.
As more stress rises from the fact grades are due there is soon relief as well. Once the grading period ends then it will be winter break which gives students and staff a break from papers and school. Esmeralda Gonzales, another freshman, says, “Winter break is fun, but the best thing is just not going to school and just relaxing with no assignments to do.” Furthermore, even as the stress levels rise, once you work hard and get over the assignments and all the school work it will soon be over and relaxation begins with a lot more things to do and occupy your time.
Time is running out and there’s lots of things to do as we reach the end of the grading period. Make sure to get those assignments done and stay on top of the work. There is no time to just wait around and do it the last day because the end is coming very quickly. Make sure you keep your grades up and check your grades to see if you have any missing assignments.
