What’s to come this school year’s boys basketball season, both Varsity and Junior Varsity. Like every other sport they will overcome some challenges and defaults amongst the team. Coach Rj Henderson is the main coach this season.While mainly coaching the varsity team he still puts effort into the JV team along with the many assistant coaches along his side. In both teams this season he will train and prepare them for anything and everything to come.

Coming in at sixth in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division four rankings Hughson High’s varsity boys basketball team is already making moves trying to come up on top. With some improvement, they got high hopes and eyes on the division four championship. They are at three wins and three losses already tied in the overall games. They are ready to know that tie down and win the next. This last big win against Riverbank ended in 61-50. This is going into our favor, the boys are ready for the next game against Central Valley on 12/10 (Tuesday).

The JV team is at an overall of 2-3. The JV team is most definitely waiting to take another win against the upcoming teams. With their last game ending in a loss you already know the team is going to be up and roaring for their next game which is away against Bradshaw Christian (Sacramento, CA) on the 4th of January. They are already at an overall of two wins and just a single loss. JV will come back stronger after this last game they just had and take the win for the next. So don’t be shy and cheer on not just your JV team but varsity as well!
