As the holiday season approaches, the excitement for a well-deserved break grows among students. With the end of the semester in sight, many are already daydreaming about their perfect getaway. Whether it’s a snowy retreat or a tropical escape, the idea of a dream vacation is a common topic of conversation among students.
To capture the essence of these daydreams, we decided to interview several students about their ideal vacation spots. We wanted to know where they would go if they could travel anywhere in the world and what makes these destinations so special to them. The responses were as diverse and unique as the students themselves, reflecting a wide range of interest and desires.
To start off we asked Madi Collins, a junior, who told us she would like a getaway to Greece, “It’s different, you can experience the different cultures and new things that America doesn’t have.”Then Peyton Moring, a freshman, explained she would like to go to Paris, “I would really like to try the food and experience the view of the Eiffel tower because it is so pretty and cool.”
Next we asked Micah Duarte, a senior, who told us he would really like to go to Portugal, “ it’s a really cool place and that is where my family is from.” Lastly we asked Victoria Violette, a junior, who has a goal to visit the Maldives, “the water is so pretty and it is such an interesting place!”
These diverse dream vacations highlight the unique interests and passions of our student body. Whether it’s exploring new cultures, experiencing natural wonders, or going on an adventure, each student’s ideal getaway offers a glimpse into what makes travel such a cherished desire.
As the holiday season draws near, these dreams of far-off places remind us of the endless possibilities the world has to offer. While we may not all get to visit our dream destinations right away, the excitement and anticipation of future travels keep our spirits high and our imaginations vivid.
