Friendship is often described as one of the most important and rewarding relationships you receive in life, but it can also present itself as a set of challenges. There are misunderstandings and conflicts that maintain connections with people. As you grow your life changes and take different paths, maintaining those connections can often be hard to keep up with. You are presented with many hardships in life and building friendship is a huge role that your life has, but going through things can be hard to make sure your connection with your friends is still there. While friendships require patience, communication, trust, honesty, and loyalty, those are hard to maintain with certain people that enter your life.
Olivia Boggan said, “Friendship can be amazing, but it can also come with challenges. There can be disagreements on certain things and not enough communication which can lead to things being misunderstood. A big thing in friendship is trust and being able to trust your friend with things and stuff you have to say. Just like any relationship it takes effort and patience to maintain a strong and healthy friendship.”
Cooper Taber said, “It can be hard to maintain friendships in life. There are many trials and hardships you have to overcome with your friends but throughout the friendship we get over them.”
Finley Wells said, “friendship is a special bond but sometimes it’s difficult to give and receive. Sometimes in friendship there’s friends that put in all the effort and the friends that receive that effort. It’s important to find a balance but it can be difficult. it also can be challenging because some people define friendship differently and have different ideas of fun and bonding for friendships for example i love having sleepovers it’s my favorite but some of my friends either aren’t allowed to or don’t want to do one of my main sources of bonding is taken away so it’s difficult sometimes or find alternatives to bond making it challenging and sometimes wearing your friendships.”
Sophia Sanchez said, “The challenges of a friendship consist of misunderstandings and lack of communication. Trust is fundamental in a friendship. Betrayals or breaches of trust can severely damage the relationship. Friends may grow apart if they are at different stages in their lives, such as one starting a family while the other is focused on their career. Jealousy and Competition: Envy over achievements or relationships can create tension and resentment. People change over time, and sometimes friends may no longer have the same interests or values, making it hard to relate to each other.”
